Now the banana fruit is one of the world’s most exported agricultural products, with Cavendish banana being the main type of commercial banana for consumption, due to its long shelf life and ease of transport.
The fruit has the initial green peel but turns yellow when ripe, soft light yellow flesh inside, along with a characteristic aroma. The more banana ripes, the sweeter its flavor is.
